Tara Hunt, a VP at the Lime Foundry, asks the question “What will happen to content creators if curators become the kings?” In the article, she explores how content curation is often overtaking content creation:
But while creators are necessary and amazing, curators are the ones raking in the dough.
She then suggests a few things that content creators can do to stay afloat. She doesn’t take this point of view, but in reality, curators serve creators by exposing them to new audiences, and creators serve curators by supplying them with interesting and fresh content to curate. It should be a win-win.
