About Curation Station
The new company, Curation Station, has a launched a product that firms can use to simultaneously search sites such as Twitter and YouTube. Employees can use the product to “curate” the information, picking out only what they want to share online.
Users can use Curation Station to quickly post what they want to share, which company officials say distinguishes the product from existing aggregators.
The tool likely will appeal to busy people who may not be tech savvy but want to track and share relevant social media references, said Joseph Rueter, who co-founded the company.
“Right now the people with the time and expertise to curate on a particular subject often have very little time and don’t have developer skills,” he said.
Curation Station has raised money from angel investors, though Rueter won’t say how much. The firm, which is sharing offices with Minneapolis-based Hello Viking, already has picked a few clients, and is gaining “very good traction” with ad agencies, he said.
