The report showed that 15 percent of companies see content marketing as the single most exciting digital opportunity in 2014. Customer experience was listed as the most exciting opportunity by 20 percent of companies.
When it comes to breaking the results down between B2C and B2B companies, the numbers had a fairly drastic shift with 24 percent of B2B companies stating that content marketing is the most exciting opportunity in 2014. Forty-four percent of B2B respondents said content marketing is their top marketing priority this year.
Overall, content marketing is seen as the next most exciting digital opportunity, followed by multichannel campaign management, personalization, and social media.
