Content Curation is “for” Readers, Viewers and Listeners, Not “About You”

Talking about yourself too much generally does not create high engagement. Brands and companies also, should not be too over-promotional when doing content marketing, and curating content.

The business purpose is to create an audience first, then prospects as a follow on. You want, as a content curator, to create the equivalent of a hit TV show, not an effective commercial, though there is a clear business reason to create effective commercials. 

But commercials only work when there is an audience first.
